To test that the update server is working okay, you can do some maunal steps in place of what the software would do, this validates that the update server is up and running.

1. Place the following into the address bar of a web browser:

http://FPUpdateServer.fisher-price.com/?PID=201042&Version=x.x.x.x (where x.x.x.x is the version number of the software installed on the PC).

2. The update server will return the path of the update file, to see this, you need to view source on the web browser, otehr wise you will just see a blank screen.

For instance, this is what was returned from the update server:

3. Place the returned URL into your web browser address bar to download a file.
